Mia Miller was brilliant in the pitcher’s circle on Monday, as she threw a no-hitter to lead Kalkaska Blazers JV past Boyne City 4-1.
Kalkaska Blazers JV didn’t take the lead until later in the game. Reannin Henninger grounded out, scoring one run.
Kalkaska Blazers JV pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Breanna Markham singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.
Miller was on the rubber for Kalkaska Blazers JV. She went six innings, allowing one run on zero hits and striking out 13.
Cosier was in the pitcher’s circle for Boyne City. She allowed five hits and four runs over five innings, striking out eight.
Lauren Judd, Markham, Miller, Emma Woodin, and Violet Porter each collected one hit to lead Kalkaska Blazers JV. Miller led Kalkaska Blazers JV with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with ten stolen bases.
