Kalkaska fell to Kingsley on Friday afternoon by a score of 2-0. The Blazers were coming off of a great win in Grayling Thursday night and unfortunately did not keep up their strong play. The Stags came out and wanted the game from the beginning. They played hard and were much quicker to the ball than Blazers were. They only had 4 shots in the first half but made two of them. The Blazers responded well in the second half and really controlled play. They created some great scoring chances but simply could not convert any to get back in the game. Kalkaska is now 7-10-3 and looks to bounce back this week (final week of the regular season). They host Boyne City at 5:30 on Tuesday (parent/senior night) and travel to Harbor Springs for a 6pm game on Thursday. Kalkaska hopes to add some more wins to their conference record and head into the district playoffs on a roll.
