The Kalkaska boy’s cross country team ran in Pellton on Saturday, October 7 and came away with a second place team finish. Pellston and Boyne Falls also had runners participate but did not score a team of five.
Kyle McDowell led the Blazers boys taking 2nd overall with a season record time of 18:27.
Chase Fitch came in 5th in 18:56.
Glenn Morris set a new personal record of 19:41 while securing 11th place.
Nathan Blasko set a new season record of 20:16, taking 17th place.
Jon Wednieski was back after a long absence taking 19th place and running a time of 20:41 in his first 5k race of the season.
Seth Chopp ran for a new season record of 21:58.
Liam Rosin set a new personal record with a time of 23:04.
The boys raced well in a bit of rain and will be back in action next Saturday, October 14th at the Lake Michigan Conference meet in Charlevoix.
